iPhone 11 Pro vs iPhone SE (2020) Comparison

Can you even compare the iPhone 11 Pro and the iPhone SE (2020)?

Given their price difference (£1,049 vs £419 on release) you might think that these two phones are worlds apart, but you could be pleasantly surprised by the iPhone SE (2020). For a budget phone, it packs a punch and while the iPhone 11 Pro is clearly a fantastic phone, the iPhone SE (2020) might just win you over.

iPhone SE (2020) – Brilliant value

Designed as a budget phone, the iPhone SE fits a lot into its tiny size. It has a small 4.7-inch screen and it’s easy to use one-handed, it measures 123.8 by 58.6 mm and weighs just 148 g. In comparison, the iPhone 11 Pro has a much bigger screen, 5.8 inches, measures 144 x 71.4 mm, and weighs 188 grams. The difference in screen size is partly because the iPhone SE still has a home button and the bevels that go with it, whereas the iPhone 11 Pro makes use of all the available space by getting rid of the home button. This of course means you get Touch ID on the SE and Face ID on the iPhone 11 Pro. Both phones have the same A13 processor, so are really fast.

iPhone 11 Pro – Sleek, pretty, and very capable

The iPhone 11 Pro has a stylish design and is very durable, it is made of glass and stainless steel, and while the iPhone SE is still a pretty tough phone it can’t match the iPhone 11 Pro, and style-wise it isn’t up there either. If you’re looking for a phone with a great camera then the iPhone 11 Pro is sure to please. It has a 12 MP triple-lens rear camera with night mode and takes incredible pictures in all lighting, The SE has a 12 MP single rear camera and also takes great shots but it doesn’t have the pro touch. Screen wise you also get a treat with the iPhone 11 Pro’s Super Retina XDR OLED screen, whereas with iPhone SE you’ll have to content yourself with a very accurate LCD screen.

The best?

The iPhone SE (2020) is an excellent phone if you want to save a bit of cash, especially if you’re buying refurbished for 20-50% less. But if you want the fancy bigger screen and cameras the iPhone 11 Pro is for you.
