iPhone 13 Pro Max Vs iPhone XR

The iPhone 13 Pro Max was released three years after the iPhone XR, so you know it will be a more advanced phone, but the iPhone XR still has its benefits. Take a look at how they compare to work out if the iPhone 13 Pro max or iPhone XR is the best phone for you.

The iPhone XR was the cheapest phone in Apple’s X range when it was released, costing $749, around $300 less than the iPhone 13 Pro Max. Though perhaps not a budget phone it is a really good phone at a more affordable price. Remember you can save 20-50% on a new phone if you buy refurbished. The battery lasts on average 33 hours, and it has wireless and fast charging for when you do need to charge it. The iPhone 13 Pro Max does last longer, around 44 hours. The iPhone XR weighs 46 g less than the iPhone 13 Pro max and is smaller too, making it easier to handle for some. The iPhone XR measures 150.9 x 75.7 mm compared to the iPhone 13 Pro Max’s 160.8 x 78.1 mm. The iPhone XR has an A 12 bionic processor, which is pretty fast, though of course the newer iPhone 13 Pro Max is faster. It has an A15 processor.

Both these phones have edge-to-edge screens, but the iPhone 13 Pro Max’s larger size means the screen is bigger, 6.7 inches compared to 6.1. It’s also sharper, brighter, and more accurate as it has  OLED technology rather than LCD.  Camera wise the iPhone 13 Pro Max outshines the iPhone XR with 4 rear lenses, 3 X optical zoom, and a 12 MP front camera. The iPhone XR has a single 12 MP rear camera and a 7 MP front camera.  Storage is again outstanding on the iPhone 13 Pro Max, with 6 Gb compared to 3 Gb.

It’s clear that if you want a really fast phone with tons of storage, excellent cameras and a fancy OLED screen the iPhone 13 Pro Max is the winner. But if you need a smaller phone with a great battery and good performance then the iPhone XR is still a good choice.
