Trade in and trade up with Back Market & PlayStation

From XX - March 31, 2025, Back Market and PlayStation are teaming up to encourage customers to trade in their old PlayStation4 (PS4) via Back Market’s Trade-in program. In addition to receiving the trade-in value for your PS4 (up to £150), you will also receive a voucher for $50 off a new PS5 consoles / PS5 Pro consoles / bundles and PS VR2s, redeemable on PlayStation Direct*. (Voucher is not valid on Back Market’s website.)

How does it work?

Trade in your PS4 on Back Market’s website between X - March 31, 2025.
Start your trade-in on Back Market prior to/by March 7, 2025 via the PlayStation promotional page, clicking on “Start Your Trade-in Now” or “Explore” buttons.
You must ship your PS4 by March 7, 2025.
Once your Trade-in payment has been processed, you’ll receive a confirmation email including your £50 voucher.
Purchase your PS5 on PlayStation Direct and use your voucher in the cart.

How do I redeem the voucher?

You can redeem the PlayStation Direct voucher by adding an item to your cart, selecting “PROMO CODE”, entering the voucher, selecting “APPLY”, and following the on-screen instructions to complete your purchase.

How can I track my order once it’s been placed on direct.playstation.com?

As soon as your order has shipped, PlayStation will email you a tracking number. You can go to your order details and select “Track my order”. From there, you’ll receive up to date information about your order. You can also sign up for text notifications on its status and delivery.

Can the voucher be applied to any item, including accessories and games, or a PS5 Digital Edition?
