Samsung S20 vs S10 Plus Comparison

Samsung S20 vs S10 Plus

The Samsung S20 and S10 Plus are so similar in performance and functionality that it's hard to tell them apart. They are similar in size, have equivalent screen and batteries ,and are both excellent phones overall. There are a few things that distinguish them, such as their photographic capacity and screen resolution. Here are a few considerations to help you choose.

Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus, older but better

Released in 2019, the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus is a year older than its competitor (2020 for the Samsung S20). However, it has the advantage over the Samsung S20 on a number of points. This is especially true for the front-facing camera. The S10 Plus has an 18 MP lens compared to only 10 MP for the S20. A similar advantage is there for the storage capacity. The Samsung S10 Plus is available with 1TB of storage while the S20 is limited to 128GB. The S10 Plus is however 10 grams heavier, and also a bit bigger (157.6 X 74.1 X 7.8 mm against 151.7 X 69.1 X 7.9 mm for the S20). It will therefore not be suitable for all those looking for a smaller form factor.

Samsung Galaxy S20, an ideal smartphone for photography

While the Samsung S10 Plus has the advantage in terms of front sensor, the S20 has the upper hand on the back. It has a more powerful main camera on the rear. This includes a triple lens set up capable of capturing pictures at 64MP, 12 MP and 12MP. The Samsung S10, on the other hand, has a triple sensor that takes 16 MP, 12 MP and 12 MP shots. It is also a winner when it comes to screen quality. There's a better resolution available on its 6.2 inch screen (6.4 inch for the S10 Plus). It's also the only one of the two that's 5G compatible.

If you like to take selfies or need a lot of storage capacity, the Samsung S10 Plus is the model for you. If you prefer to take pictures of your surroundings using the rear sensor, you're better off with the S20.
