Samsung Galaxy S8 vs iPhone 7 Comparison

Samsung Galaxy S8 vs iPhone 7

Much loved and considered bestsellers in their range when they were released, the Samsung Galaxy S8 and iPhone 7 smartphones have some things in common, but when it comes to screen and battery life, the differences are major. This should allow you to differentiate between them and choose the model that is best suited to you.

Samsung S8, an accomplished design

Unlike the iPhone 7 with its LCD panel, the Samsung S8 has a 5.8-inch Super AMOLED screen that occupies almost the entire front panel. This gives it the opportunity to keep similar dimensions to its competitor, but also offers a larger screen (5.8 inches against 4.7 for the iPhone 7).

This should make you happy if you are used to viewing content on your smartphone or if you regularly play video games. It also allows you to enjoy a more elegant and modern design.

In terms of photography, however, the Samsung S8 has some weaknesses and struggles to compete with the iPhone 7.

iPhone 7, a photo quality that sets it apart

Although its design is a little dated compared to the Samsung S8, the iPhone 7 is much more accomplished in terms of photography and offers a better user experience when using demanding applications (video editing or games for example). It is equipped with a 12 Mpx photo camera, which is itself accompanied by an efficient algorithm. This allows you to take beautiful shots in all types of light conditions.

The Samsung S8, which also has a 12 Mpx camera, does not manage to surpass the Apple model. The iPhone 7 does not shine in terms of battery life however. The Samsung S8 has the advantage in this respect and can be used for a few hours longer when making calls, but also for multipurpose use.

Both smartphones offer excellent value for money, but are aimed at very different user profiles. The Samsung S8 is suitable for those who want a large screen, good battery life, and who like to customise their interface (thanks to Android). The iPhone 7 is still a bestseller and is perfect for everyday use, especially when it comes to photography.
