iPhone X vs iPhone 12 Pro Comparison

iPhone X vs iPhone 12 Pro: Which is the better phone?

These two iPhones look similar on the outside, but there are major differences under the bonnet. Would the slightly older iPhone X be better for you, or is it worth upgrading to the iPhone 12 Pro?

iPhone X: a new design

Launched in 2017 and the first iPhone to feature the Apple notch (the black part at the top of the screen that houses the camera, speaker and Face ID technology). It was an iconic phone, sporting a new kind of design with no home buttons, an edge-to-edge screen and an enlarged power button

However, the screen size is a little smaller than the iPhone 12 Pro or iPhone 12, at just 5.8 inches in comparison to 6.1 inches. Performance is good, but not as good as the iPhone 12 Pro, which is equipped with the A14 Bionic Processor (the iPhone X contains an A11 chip) and is twice the RAM capacity of the X (6GB versus 3GB).

iPhone 12 Pro: a big screen on a newer smartphone

The iPhone 12 Pro is bigger, longer and thinner than the iPhone X, and offers a brighter display thanks to its Super Retina XDR OLED screen.

The biggest difference hwoever between the two iPhones is the camera, which is far superior on the iPhone 12 Pro. With a wide-angle lens that's perfect for landscape shots, a larger image sensor for sharper focus and an improved night mode feature, the iPhone 12 Pro's camera is capable of taking more stunning photos.

Battery life is similar on both phones (about a day of average use), but the iPhone 12 Pro will consume a lot of power if you're using 5G (the iPhone X doesn't have this feature). The all-important charging time is also faster on the iPhone 12 Pro. This model supports 20W fast charging while the iPhone X only has 15W.

If taking excellent quality photos and shooting videos is your thing, then we suggest the iPhone 12 Pro. Add to that the performance and sleek design and you've got a high-end phone that's worth the investment.
