I plumped for ‘fair’ but It’s impossible to notice a defect unless you stick your face millimetres away. I bought it for making art and writing and it works beautifully. Nice size too. Thanks to Back Market using my favoured Apple products is affordable. Kudos to the refurbisher too!

This was brought for my son as a Christmas present. I did pay the extra for an original Apple box and also I paid out extra for a good quality refurbished iPad. The result was my son was super happy with what he’d been given, it was in excellent condition without a single mark on it as if it was brand new. I would highly recommend anyone to go down the refurbished route and read up on what you are buying as many of these products actually have never been used. Happy shopping all and I hope your experience is as good as mine.

In one word: Lovely The iPad was in mint condition as advertised. It was officially registered as a refurbished sale with Apple and therefore covered by Apple's remaining original warranty, with the option to add AppleCare+ on top of it. Backmarket offers their own insurance products as well to cover it from accidental damage. What's not to like?

"Buyer Beware" I didn't know this before this experience, but be warned that - in their own words - "Back Market is a global marketplace including more than 1,500 sellers of refurbished devices" I've bought two Samsung tablets from Back Market and in both cases the tablets themselves have been great and they were received extremely quickly. However the advert for my most recent purchase turned out to be grossly misleading as it contained various photographs showing the tablet - complete with the Samsung S-Pen - attached to a keyboard and the "Seller Comment" actually included the text "Complete with Samsung S-Pen". I'd been looking at three identical tablets but the other two adverts featured neither the keyboard nor the S-Pen. Unfortunately my new tablet arrived without these accessories and having contacted customer support I was disappointed and annoyed to be told that the seller had neither item available. I could have returned the tablet for a full refund but did not wish to do this as the tablet itself was OK. The part exchange process is confusing to say the least. The item was at your refurbisher and you kept sending mail saying I should send it back. Perhaps your team should report on receiving the product. By that communication you convinced me the return was lost and you wasted my time and that of your customer service team.

I am overall pleased with my purchase! The external body of the iPad that I received was in the condition as described and I am very happy with this, however, the battery health upon receiving the iPad was only at 87% of the original capacity. I purchased this iPad to study on the go so battery capacity is very important to me. I understood that the iPad should arrive in a refurbished and as good as possible condition internally and I did expect this to include a new battery, at the very least. Other than this problem, which is considerable for me, I’m perfectly happy with my purchase.
