To buy or not to buy – are iPhone 12 Black Friday sales worthwhile?
While you can expect a selection of iPhone 12 Black Friday deals, it’s worth remembering that you can also get discounts at other times of the year. Black Friday is often promoted as having the best sale offerings, but the prices may not necessarily be at their lowest level during these sales.
Looking at price trends over the year for the iPhone 12 Pro, we can see that the week after the Black Friday sales the prices were actually lower than they had been during the sale; the prices dropped even further in the weeks leading up to Christmas. This suggests that outlets further discount items not sold on Black Friday and indicates that it may be wise to wait until after Black Friday to buy.
Late June 2024 also saw relatively low prices, which may be a result of summer sales and the discontinuation of these models in September 2024. Prices were higher and more volatile between early March and the first week of May, steadily dropping until July. For instance, the price around 15 March 2024 was around £559, dropping to £499 on 12 April and then increasing again to £559 in early May. Prices stabilised around £399 from June to November, until Black Friday arrived.
These averages are helpful if you're looking for the perfect time to buy, but don't forget that Back Market often has lower-than-average prices on iPhone 12s at other times of the year. Our standard deals are as low as, if not lower than, prices seen in Black Friday promotions.
