Huawei P20 vs P20 Pro Comparison

Huawei P20 vs P20 Pro

While Huawei has focused mostly on their mid-range line in the past, these two models prove that they're also capable of making good and accessible high-end smartphones. With the P20 and P20 Pro, Huawei offers you high-performance inside of affordable devices. To decide between them, you'll have to choose between price and performance.

Huawei P20, an affordable price

With the same processor as the Huawei P20 Pro (the Snapdragon 845), this smartphone is distinguished by its 4 GB of RAM, compared to 6 GB in the Pro. It also has a 5.8-inch LCD screen, while the P20 Pro has a 6.1-inch OLED panel. Both of them offer 128GB of storage (without the possibility of expanding it with a microSD card) and wireless charging is also present thanks to Huawei's SuperCharge. The Huawei P20 is additionally going to be cheaper than the P20 Pro.

Huawei P20 Pro, advanced performance

Although some components are common to both smartphones, the P20 Pro does perform better in several areas. Firstly, in terms of battery life thanks to a better and more efficient battery despite the presence of a larger screen.

When it comes to photography, again, the Huawei P20 Pro does better. It has a triple camera system with 40 MP for its main sensor, 20 MP for its telephoto lens and 20 MP for its third lens. The Huawei P20, on the other hand, only has a dual 12 and 20 MP camera, but is still nice to use for everyday photography. Both have a 24MP front camera, which is more than enough for selfies.

How big are the Huawei P20 and Huawei P20 Pro?

The Huawei P20 is 7.08 cm wide, 14.91 cm high, 0.765 cm thick, and weighs 165 grams. Its screen measures 5.8 inches.

As for the Huawei P20 Pro, the dimensions are: 155 X 73.9 X 7.8 mm, for 180 grams. Its screen measures 6.1 inches.

Not ready to make any compromises on the power and performance of your smartphone? Go for the Huawei P20 Pro. It boasts great performance, great photo quality and great battery life. If you have a smaller budget, the Huawei P20 will be more suitable for you. It's still an excellent smartphone, offering everything you'll need on a daily basis, and it's priced between £100 and £200 less than its competitor.
