I plumped for ‘fair’ but It’s impossible to notice a defect unless you stick your face millimetres away. I bought it for making art and writing and it works beautifully. Nice size too. Thanks to Back Market using my favoured Apple products is affordable. Kudos to the refurbisher too!

This was brought for my son as a Christmas present. I did pay the extra for an original Apple box and also I paid out extra for a good quality refurbished iPad. The result was my son was super happy with what he’d been given, it was in excellent condition without a single mark on it as if it was brand new. I would highly recommend anyone to go down the refurbished route and read up on what you are buying as many of these products actually have never been used. Happy shopping all and I hope your experience is as good as mine.

Initially I was a little sceptical about buying a refurbished iPad however I couldn’t be happier with the service from Back Market. Super fast delivery for Christmas…great packaging (box was on a par with Apple packaging) and so far completely delighted with the device and battery life. 12 month warranty also included. A perfect first experience!

In one word: Lovely The iPad was in mint condition as advertised. It was officially registered as a refurbished sale with Apple and therefore covered by Apple's remaining original warranty, with the option to add AppleCare+ on top of it. Backmarket offers their own insurance products as well to cover it from accidental damage. What's not to like?

The part exchange process is confusing to say the least. The item was at your refurbisher and you kept sending mail saying I should send it back. Perhaps your team should report on receiving the product. By that communication you convinced me the return was lost and you wasted my time and that of your customer service team.

I am overall pleased with my purchase! The external body of the iPad that I received was in the condition as described and I am very happy with this, however, the battery health upon receiving the iPad was only at 87% of the original capacity. I purchased this iPad to study on the go so battery capacity is very important to me. I understood that the iPad should arrive in a refurbished and as good as possible condition internally and I did expect this to include a new battery, at the very least. Other than this problem, which is considerable for me, I’m perfectly happy with my purchase.

I was really nervous about buying a refurbished ipad from backmarket but I am really pleased bought fair so expected a few dings and dents but nothing that affected any buttons the screen was perfect and in a case hides everything. This site was recommended by my daughter who bought an ipad for her daughter and was pleased. Very satisfied with this refurbished iPad. This is my first time buying refurbished, so I made sure to research both Back Market and the seller. It can seem daunting at first as the more research you do, the more mixed messages it can bring. But ultimately I went with the purchase as the website seemed legit. I had selected a "Good" condition product and when it came, the screen was in very good condition, some very minor scratches but hardly visible to the eye. And I have had no internal or software issues so far. The only thing I will say is I have noticed the battery drains only slightly faster, which depending on how much or what you use the tablet for can be a problem, but it also charges fairly normally. Moral to the story, can feel like a dice roll with whether to buy refurbished or not but Back Market so far have seemed reliable, sent me the invoice, sent me speedy emails and notifications. On the sellers part, they delivered a well refurbished product. Would strongly advice to buy the case at the same time to make sure you dont get any further scratches.
